In week 5 I started my sprint where I was tasked to create a page on the jira that would cover how the DDR would work.

First went over my DDR mechanic and explained how the it would look so that the UI desingerw know how it should look like and I even used the UI artist Jo consept art for the UI hud.

I also went in depth with how the it would work mechanicly when breaking down the arrucay and timming part of it. This was important as this was a key part of the game as the close the player got to being alinged with the target object the more damage the player would do, it also covers how the how th the combos would work and what moves would get a page combo as some move won't like for example the the player could do a combo page for a group heal which if succussfull would allow the player to heal him and his teammate. But the player couldn't use the page on the teammate as the teammate could only use their base attacks. It also covers what happens when the player misses their combos.

It aslo covers the timing and how diffenent combos depending the the rarity of the page as seen in this page (pages Ideas) https://gam507-23.atlassian.net/l/cp/e5eJ1T1k.

Also I covered the explore UI explore hud. After that I worked with James H who is our UI desinger and worked on the idea of the page combos and had him go over it and give feedback.

During the weekly meetings we held on the monday we went over the our task progress and then decided to remove the DDR mechanic as it was seen as too hard to complish with the time we had remaining.

Reflection

I did quite well this week as I was able to comunicate with the UI designer and the artist to get everything I needed done for that weekly sprint. I should have ask my lead to questions about my task as I didn't and that did make it take longer then it should of.
